for your project

At The Helping Zebra, we are committed to providing a comprehensive, supervised and high-quality experience for all our volunteers. Beyond the solidarity mission, we offer you a real living environment, unforgettable encounters and the opportunity to discover the wonders of Tanzania.

High-quality accommodation in Arusha

You will stay in a comfortable house located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood close to the city centre. Three types of accommodation are available depending on your preferences and budget: dormitory, double/twin room or single room.

Professional and attentive support

On site, you will be accompanied by an experienced, helpful and caring team who speak French, English and Swahili, to guide you through every stage of your stay.

Carefully selected projects

We choose our missions for their seriousness and real usefulness. You will join committed local organisations where your help is invaluable.

A complete adventure

Because a trip to Tanzania is not just about volunteering, we offer many activities to help you discover the region: waterfalls, hot springs, local markets… and of course the opportunity to experience an unforgettable safari in the heart of the most beautiful national parks.

Not included

International airfare
Transportation to Tanzania is at your own expense. However, we can advise you on how to organise your trip.

Travel & health insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out insurance covering medical expenses, repatriation and unforeseen events.

Visa
A volunteer visa is required for this type of stay. Again, we can guide you through the process if necessary.

Personal expenses
Outings, souvenirs, restaurants, personal purchases, etc.

Activities and safari
Excursions and safaris are optional and can be chosen on site or booked before your departure.

Once your project has been confirmed and your payment received, your participation is officially confirmed and we will begin actively preparing for your mission in Tanzania.

Dormitory

€ 120 per week

Ideal for those who want to enjoy a group experience, the dormitory accommodates between 3 and 6 volunteers. It’s a great opportunity to share everyday life, interact with other young people from around the world and forge real bonds during your stay.

Double/twin room

€170 per week (shared bathroom) or €200 per week (private bathroom)

Perfect for couples, friends or those who want a little more privacy, this room can accommodate up to two guests. You can choose between a double bed or two single beds, depending on your needs.

Single room

€230 per week (private bathroom)

For maximum comfort and privacy, the single room is reserved for one person only. Ideal for those who prefer to have their own space after a busy day.
